technical side

Is it a transfer between multiple separate MediaWiki installations? Do you use Special:Export and Special:Import (requires sysop-rights) to do this operation? I want to help out, but I don't yet know how to do it the best and licensing-compliant way. Mailaender 13:50, 10 May 2011 (MDT)
